Float with delight

Loktak lake - keibul lamjao national park

In the far reaches of North east India lies a place so hidden that only few have heard about it. This is the only floating national park on our planet and the only home to an endangered deer sub species sangai. The Park's loktak lake is the largest fresh water lake in northern India and is a spectacular sight, dotted with green patches and rings of vegetation known as "phumdi" that floats atop The water.

People who love camping can spend their night here at sangai moonlight camping. This lake is 42 km from the capital of Manipur that is Imphal, situated in moirang district.
